Hi! My name is Isabella Chiam. I’m an actor and theatre-maker based in sunny Singapore.
I graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (UK) with a Masters in Theatre, and studied under Phillippe Gaulier for a spell.
I love travelling, design, plants and theatre.
Besides acting, I have a deep interest in puppetry, collaborative theatre-making & actor training.
I particularly enjoy working in an ensemble. I have performed in a variety of genres and styles, and am an experienced puppeteer and mover.
My current interests lie in creating meaningful and dynamic theatre for young audiences, as well as navigating the personal themes of change and loss.
I’ve taught at the Identity School of Acting (UK) & am currently adjunct lecturer at NAFA & Lasalle. I also design and facilitate workshops for students of all levels interested in theatre.
I am an Associate Artist with The Theatre Practice, and a founding member of theatre collective Five Stones Theatre.
I am also one half of creative duo Issy x Cher with director/writer Cherilyn Woo.
